In a documentary film premiered at Varsaw we told the untold story of Jonathan Shaw “the great nightmare anti-hero of the new age” according to Iggy Pop.
We filmed the life and work of this famous tattoo artist who transformed the world of tattooing in the 80s in New York, and who at the peak of his career, left it all behind to redeem himself through writing, eventually becoming the next Bukowski.
Shaw has thrived for decades on the vibrant and dangerous front lines of the tattoo world and outlaw culture.
Think of Anthony Bourdain meeting a heavily tattooed Charles Bukowski on steroids.
This documentary is a combination of "Forrest Gump" and "Road Warrior," with surprising twists that take us to the darkest corners of the American Dream.
An exciting journey through pop culture, through Hell and Redemption through Art.
